Richmond Row employee fighting for life in hospital after stabbing

Police have arrested a London man following a stabbing that left a downtown employee in critical condition.
On July 7 at around 3:30 p.m., the man was loitering outside the back of an establishment in the 500-block of Richmond Street, in the area near Victoria Park otherwise known as Richmond Row, police said.
When he was asked to leave by staff, the man allegedly pulled out a knife, stabbed the employee and fled on a scooter.
A witness called 9-1-1 and the victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains.
Police used video surveillance footage to identity the 33-year-old suspect and arrested him on Wednesday morning.
He has remained in police custody since then and is scheduled to appear in London court Friday to face charges for aggravated assault and breach of probation.
