Reports surfaced in July 2020 that Horan was seeing Woolley during the early months of the pandemic. A source told Daily Mail at the time, “Niall is very serious about Amelia; lockdown has definitely intensified his feelings for her,” and that “Niall has been seeing Amelia for the last two months.”

“He thinks Amelia’s gorgeous, but they also really get on,” the source added. “She’s told close friends this could be the real deal.”

The insider also revealed how they met: “They met in London as Amelia works for shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood and moved to Kensington for her job.”

The couple kept their relationship private for over a year before stepping out publicly. In September 2021, Woolley attended Horan’s charity event, the Horan & Rose Gala, in Hertfordshire. Photos from the night showed them together, marking their official debut as a couple.

Before working in account management, Woolley studied fashion business at the Istituto Marangoni in London. Her career path has included roles at LVMH, ASOS, and more, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Woolley was raised in Birmingham and attended Solihull School. She played field hockey competitively as a teenager, joining the Birmingham & West Midlands U15 Training Squad.

Woolley has directly influenced Horan’s music. The singer confirmed to NME in April 2023 that his track “You Could Start a Cult” was inspired by their relationship. “I watch a lot of true crime with my girlfriend,” he explained. “I just wrote it down one night when we were watching something, because it’s a big thought. I thought it was funny initially: You could literally start a cult, and I’d follow you into the fire. It started as a joke and became this really sweet song; it is funny.”

Though they mostly keep their romance off social media, the couple has appeared together at major events over the years. They were seen at Harry Styles’s Wembley Stadium concert in 2022, attended the French Grand Prix that summer, and enjoyed a vacation in Mexico in January 2022, per Daily Mail.

Most recently, they made headlines when they were photographed at Wimbledon in July 2025. Horan and Woolley sat courtside for the men’s final.

After several years of dating, Horan and Woolley reportedly bought a six-bedroom home in London in 2025. A source told The Sun UK, “Niall loves traveling and touring, but this is him really laying down his roots with his new home with Mia.”

The source added that the house felt like “a proper family home.”
