Sydney Sweeney brought a bold fall look to the streets of New York City this morning. The actress was photographed leaving the Good Morning America studios in a beige leather trench jacket from Sportmax, styled as a minidress.

The structured jacket featured a pointed collar, button-down front, and matching belt that cinched at the waist. Sweeney paired the piece with nude knee-high boots and a brown Miu Miu bag. She finished the look with aviator sunglasses and her new short blonde bob, which she debuted last month.

Sweeney was in New York promoting her upcoming film Christy, in which she plays professional boxer Christy Martin. During her appearance on GMA, the actress noted that Martin herself joined her on set for filming. “It was so fun having her there, especially during the fighting scenes,” Sweeney said. “I could hear her at the bottom of the ring going, ‘Hit her with a left hook!’”

She also spoke about what initially drew her to the project. “She [Martin] was a professional boxer who came up during a time when women in the sport was unpopular,” Sweeney explained. “She ended up marrying her trainer—much older—who unfortunately manipulates her, and she becomes a victim of domestic violence. And when she tries to leave him for the love of her life, who was a woman, he stops her.”

Sweeney added that she was deeply invested in bringing Martin’s story to the screen from the very beginning. “I remember when I got on the first Zoom with the director, I said, ‘I don’t care, I want to produce this, I just want to be a part of telling her story and hopefully opening doors for other people. It is unbelievable.’”

The Euphoria star’s latest appearance follows several standout fashion moments on her press tour. At AFI FEST in Los Angeles on October 26, she wore a custom pink Miu Miu gown. Days later, she attended Variety’s Power of Women gala in a sheer silver dress.
