Best fixed energy deals to beat the rising April 2025 Ofgem price cap

Updated:
Households face higher energy bills after Ofgem revealed a bigger than expected jump in the price cap.
It will rise by £111 to £1,849 from April 2025, meaning pricier energy for those on variable tariffs.
The price cap is a limit, set by Ofgem, which caps the maximum amount an energy firm can charge for the units of gas and electricity households use.
It is thought as many as four in five households are now on these style tariffs after falling out of fixes during the energy crisis.
However, they could now save substantial sums by fixing, according to latest best buy data from comparison website uSwitch.
Below, it reveals the cheapest deals available as of 7.30am on 25 February 2025 that undercut the price cap by a distance.
