A celebrity chef has shared a simple trick to peel garlic - and you don't need to spend ages peeling away at it, only to have hands that smell for days. Chef K, as she's known, is Khristianne Uy and is famous for cooking for celebs like the Kardashians and the Jenners as well as Charlize Theron, Salma Hayek and Justin Bieber.

Picking up a jar, she called it "garlic's best friend". She began by bashing a whole garlic bulb with the jar and the skin peeled away within seconds. She then placed the garlic cloves in the jar, closed the lid and began shaking the jar. Taking seconds, the chef showed how easy the hack is.

Once the garlic cloves come out of the jar, they are fully peeled with no skin left on them. And your hands don't stink of garlic. But if you do happen to have garlic-smelling hands, the Kardashian-Jenner celeb chefalso revealed in another video that all you need to do is cut a lemon in half and rub it on your fingers.

If you don't have a lemon to hand, or you have a cut you'd rather not have stinging with lemon juice, you can grab a "silver spoon," rub your hands on the curved part of the spoon, and "then rinse" your hands.

In the comments of her garlic-peeling hack, one person pointed out that garlic can have a bitter taste - and there's an easy way around that. In the comments, one person replied: "Remove the green stem to avoid a bitter taste. I learned this from another chef." And it seems Chef K agreed with her, replying with several 'clapping' emojis.

And in yet another garlic tip, keep the skin - as you can turn this into garlic powder. All you need to do is wash and lay them out on a baking sheet. You can then pop them into the oven until they are nice and crispy. After this, simply crush it into a fine powder by hand or a blender - and that's it - it's that simple.
