The Baldwins official trailer
Alec Baldwin calls out the 'horrible thing' his wife says about one of their daughters and promises to 'tell her when she's older'.
The couple star in a brand new reality series airing on TLC in the US and being made available for streaming on Discovery+ in the UK.
The American actor, along with his wife, have allowed cameras to document their family life, giving fans a never before seen picture of how they live. Episodes were filmed prior to Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial following the tragic death of Halyna Hutchins on the Rust set four years ago. The case has since been dismissed.
In the premiere episode, viewers will get to see inside the family's impressive Manhattan apartment. While it may looks spacious, with seven children and eight animals also sharing the residential space, the 30 Rock star admits to needing a bit more space even though they love living in New York City.
The entire Baldwin clan move out to the East Hamptons in the Summer to a much bigger house, with a pool and a beach nearby. As they organise the travel arrangements, including which child will be in which vehicle, the couple discuss each of the children's names and their individual personalities to the camera..
Alec begins a game with his wife starting by discussing their eldest, 10 year-old Carmen. He queries: "Say one word that comes to your mind when I say each kid. My word for Carmen is sophisticated."
Hilaria ponders: "She started talking at five and a half months. Like literally talking and never stopped."
They then move on to discuss three-year-old Maria who they also call Lulu. Hilaria quips a phrase in Spanish before adding: "Lulu, she's like a Viking." Alec ponders: "Lulu is like a flower to me. She's so radiant. The word for her is radiant."
Hilaria then interrupts to ask: "You know the flower that eats things?" However this leaves her husband less than impressed as he responds: "A Venus flytrap? She's not a Venus flytrap! What a horrible thing for you to say. I'm going to tell her that when she's older."
However, Alec then agrees that the youngest of their seven children, Illaria, who they mostly refer to as 'the baby' should also be simply called 'monster'.
Their reasoning is that Hilaria shows where on her arm that Illaria bit her earlier that day and dug her nails into her skin. Alec adds: "People tend to give the last baby a certain kind of indulgence. Whatever she does we're like 'Oh, you're so amazing!' But she's really starting to push it don't you think?"
The Baldwins is streaming weekly on Discovery+.
