BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty halts show for 'significant' breaking news

BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty halted Thursday's (May 15) show for "significant" breaking news.
During Thursday's (May 15) edition of the hit morning programme, Naga and her co-host Charlie Stayt were on the red sofa to bring viewers the latest news from the UK and around the world.
However, the show was unexpectedly interrupted when the duo announced that the economy had grown by 0.7 percent.
"Economic growth figures have just been released this morning, and show that the UK economy expanded by 0.7 per cent in the first quarter of this year," Naga began.
Charlie added: "The Office for National Statistics data comes at a turbulent time for the global economy. Analysts warn that any significant increase in economic activity could be short lived."
