BGT's Bars and Melody stars' huge transformation with rippling muscles and tattoos

Bars and Melody perform on BGT
Bars and Melody first shot to fame after wowing the notoriously hard-to-please Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell back in 2014. The fresh-faced teens won over the judges, eventually securing third place in the live final.
Fast forward a decade, and the pair have grown up, released several albums, embarked on international tours, and competed in other talent contests. Today, they look vastly different from their BGT days with rippling muscles and tattoos, but that's not all that has changed. Leondre, now in his twenties and formerly known as Bars, has sprouted in height and sports a mature dreadlock hairstyle. He regularly flaunts his muscular physique in gym selfies shared with his 601,000 Instagram followers.
Meanwhile, Charlie, also in his twenties and previously known as Melody, is now a dad after welcoming a child in 2022. He sports an array of tattoos across his neck, arms, and chest.
The pair continued to make music and tour together until 2024, when they sadly announced they were splitting as a group. The pair said they wanted to finish on a high but finally felt it was time to move on.
Back in 2014, during their audition, Simon hit the coveted golden buzzer after the charming pair captivated the audience with a rap performance against bullying, reports OK!.
They finished third in the final, with Collabro taking the top spot. Bars and Melody's debut single, Hopeful, shot to Number 5 on the charts, and their debut album, 143, dropped in 2015, followed by a steady stream of new music.
They later became finalists on Britain's Got Talent: The Champions in 2019 and took on America's Got Talent: The Champions the following year. The duo has also toured Europe and Japan.
In 2021, they looked back on their BGT audition, marking its seventh anniversary with a clip on Instagram of their Golden Buzzer moment. "7 years today. Words can't explain the feelings towards this video. The moment that changed our life forever! " they captioned it.
They added: "Thank you for being by our side every step of the way. We have come to the end of the beginning. Our journey's just started."
Rapper Leondre and singer Charlie first connected on Facebook before teaming up for Britain's Got Talent, bonding over their shared passion for music. Their anti-bullying song, Hopeful, earned them a standing ovation from all four judges in their first audition.
The brand-new season of BGT, it's 18th, began on our TVs on Saturday, 22 February, Presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have made their return, alongside judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and brand-new member of the judging panel, YouTuber KSI.
