Does Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning Have a Post-Credits Scene?

It's the last ride for Ethan Hunt. Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning bids Tom Cruise's daredevil spy into the sunset, bringing an end to the Mission: Impossible saga that traces back to the original film from 1996. (Technically it began as a TV show in the 1960s, but that show didn't have Tom Cruise in it.) But you'd be forgiven for wondering if this is actually the end of the Impossible Mission Force, or if there are yet more missions to complete (should you choose to accept it).
Of course, in the franchise era of Hollywood, blockbuster movies are prone to giving audiences a taste of what's to come after the end credits. Marvel wasn't the first to do it, but they are responsible for popularizing the trend after including Samuel L. Jackson in a cameo appearance at the end of 2008's Iron Man.
But in the lead-up to The Final Reckoning, there has been so much hullaballoo over its function to end the franchise for good, at least with Tom Cruise as its lead protagonist. (Are we on the precipice of a Mission: Impossible starring Glen Powell? Perhaps!) Though no one doubts Cruise's commitment to putting on a good show even at the risk of his health, he is 62 years old, and being an action hero takes its toll.
So, is Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning actually living up to its title, or does it tease a future for the IMF? Unfortunately, Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning does not have a post-credits scene. The movie definitively closes the book on Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, and does not feature a teaser for another sequel. For once, Hollywood keeps good on its promise. But would you expect anything less from Tom Cruise?
