Kim Kardashian female raid suspect cannot be guilty ‘as attacking a woman isn’t one of her principles’, court told

THE only female member of the gang accused of robbing TV star Kim Kardashian at gunpoint cannot be guilty “because attacking a woman isn’t one of her principles”, a court heard yesterday.

Family members of convicted drugs trafficker Christiane “Cathy” Glotin, 78, spoke up for her as she stood in the dock.

She and nine others face charges relating to the kidnap and armed robbery of the US reality star in Paris in 2016.

They stole nearly $10million (£7.5m) worth of jewellery.

Ms Kardashian’s lawyers have confirmed she will give evidence at the Paris Assize Court in mid-May. The trial is due to end on May 23.

It has taken nine years since the reality star had $10million (£7.5m) worth of jewellery stolen - including her $4million (£3m) engagement ring - for the gang behind the raid to finally face justice.

Kim was left pleading for her life during the 2016 robbery after they bound her hands and feet, taped over her mouth - known as sausaging someone in French.

They then carried her to the bathtub wearing only her dressing gown.

She will give evidence in person at the trial and previously said of the raid: “I thought they were terrorists who had come to kidnap me, I thought I was going to die.”

The terrifying ordeal led to the Kardashian family changing how much they share of their lavish lifestyles on social media.
