Prince William is well-liked across the world, and his good looks and kindness have been a beloved subject of discussion among royal fans ever since he was very young. A recent poll found him the most popular member of the Royal Family, while throughout the years, he's been seen mingling with various big names across the world, from politicians to Hollywood stars.

And one of those stars, Dame Emma Thompson, once recalled a very memorable moment with the future King after she received her Damehood in 2018. The world-famous actress revealed after the ceremony at Buckingham Palace, that she asked William for a kiss and even sent him a fan letter. She said in a video while promoting the Disney film Cruella: "Prince William was absolutely fantastic.

"I wrote him a fan letter afterwards.

"His face and body language, so kind and generous to every single person. I've known him since he was little really. I've always liked him."

She revealed of their encounter: "I couldn't believe how tall he'd got. I did say, 'I suppose I better not kiss you' and he said, 'Probably better not.'

"I asked him about him and he said, 'Will you please stop talking about me, it's about you.' What a nice man."

That's not the first time the Prince of Wales was asked for a kiss.

In 2021, William was asked a 96-year-old ex-servicewoman for a kiss during a visit to Scotland, after being appointed Lord High Commissioner of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.

The royal visited the Queen's Bay Lodge care home, where As William he sat down at a table in the grounds of the care home.

Betty Magee, who also sat at the table, told William: "It's customary in these parts to give a lady a kiss on the cheek."

William then replied: "Oh you are sweet. You'll make me blush."

The ex-servicewoman then persisted and asked for a peck to which William promised a kiss when "the rules relax".
