News reporter who was ran over on air says 'that's live TV for you' after shock moment

West Virginia: TV reporter gets hit by a car during live broadcast
A TV reporter who was struck by a car live on the air has finally answered a question many have asked about the incident.
To mark her "anniversary" of the terrifying incident, TV news reporter Tori Yorgey shared the broadcast clip on her Instagram. In the clip from 2022, Yorgey is seen starring into the camera as she is about to start chatting with anchor Tim Irr. However, a car then came out of nowhere and hit her in the back.
Yorgey was reporting for WSAZ-TV in West Virginia when the incident happened. Both she and her camera fell to the ground after the contact, and Irr looked confused as he listened to the scenes unfold back in the studio. After people were left wondering why he didn't say anything at the time, Yorgey has since confirmed it's because he couldn't see what was going on.
Taking to her social media platform, she said: "Shoutout to cousin Mikey for reminding me yesterday was my ‘anniversary’ of this gem. Since so many of you are seeing this for the first time, please note that Tim could NOT SEE ME in the studio."
Thankfully, Yorgey wasn't injured in the accident and was able to continue with her report after she adjusted the camera's position and brushed herself down. In the clip, Yorgey was seen about to start the interaction before saying: "Oh my god! I just got hit by a car, but I'm OK. I just got hit by a car, but I'm OK, Tim."
She also reassured the driver of the car that hit her. "That's live TV for you," she said." It's all good,' Yorgey told the driver before revealing: "I actually got hit by a car in college too, just like that. I'm so glad I'm OK."
After watching her calm response, others weren't so sure they could have reacted in the same manner. Taking to the comments section to share their thoughts, one user wrote: "I'm not sure I could have gone on report the news that calmly lol." Another added: "I’m hoping this is the LAST time you get hit by a car on life TV, but you took it like a champ!"
