WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Suits LA.
Suits LA has finally premiered, introducing a plethora of real-life celebrities into the mix.
The spin-off to the acclaimed series made its debut on Sunday, February 23, on NBC, taking viewers inside the elite Black Lane entertainment law firm nestled in the vibrant City of Angels.
Following the conclusion of the original show, Suits, in 2019, the resurgence in popularity came in 2023 when Netflix released all nine seasons, which subsequently led to the greenlighting of the spin-off.
In a spicy twist for Suits LA, high-profile figures will be gracing the screen, playing "fictionalized, exaggerated versions of themselves" who seek legal expertise from Ted Black (Stephen Amell) and his savvy squad.
Chatting with Entertainment Weekly, the brains behind the concept, creator Aaron Korsh revealed: "These are entertainment lawyers, so they have entertainment clients.
"And much of the time, those clients will be real actors playing versions of themselves.
"A large part of the fun of the show is seeing real actors play versions of themselves and give you a peek behind the curtain into what life is like for people struggling to make it in our industry."
Actor Patton Oswalt, the Emmy and Grammy-nominated talent, stepped into the limelight as he featured as himself in the kickoff episode of Suits LA this weekend.
Oswalt, a well-known actor from hit shows like King of Queens, Parks and Recreation, The Goldbergs, BoJack Horseman, Ratatouille, and the NBC comedy AP Bio, is the host of America's version of the UK game show The 1% Club.
Brian BaumgartnerBrian Baumgartner, another notable addition to Suits LA, rose to prominence portraying Kevin Malone in The Office US for eight seasons.
Beyond this unforgettable role, Baumgartner has been involved in small roles across shows like Chicago Fire, Hand of God, Melissa and Joey, and The Bridge, even making an appearance in Drake’s music video for First Person Shooter with J Cole.
Enrico Colantoni is likely most remembered for his portrayal of Keith Mars alongside Kristen Bell in Veronica Mars.
His other works include Just Shoot Me, Station Eleven, Ghosts, The Good Fight, Westworld and he’s set to return screens with Arnold Schwarzenegger in FUBAR season two.
Suits LA isn’t just about celebrity cameos, as other stars take on character roles within the series.
For instance, Victoria Justice, famed for her stint on Nickelodeon’s Victorious, will play young movie star Dylan Pryor needing Ted’s assistance.
Joining her, Blood and Treasure’s Sofia Pernas will portray "powerhouse attorney" Elizabeth Smith, who faces off against Ted in a heated murder trial.
Suits LA is available to watch on NBC in the US.
