The Chase to face massive format shake-up for the first time in show history

Since its debut on ITV in 2009, The Chase has become a fixture of the mid-evening television lineup, entertaining audiences for over 15 years.
Now, the beloved quiz show is set for a major revamp as it prepares to introduce new questions for the first time in its history.
Bradley Walsh's iconic programme is being reimagined for a special episode designed to coincide with the upcoming Oscars ceremony. The one-off edition aims to spice things up by aligning the glamour of the Oscars, which are scheduled for next weekend.
Contestants will be quizzed on their general knowledge with a nod to the prestigious film awards and it's been reported that one of the Chasers is already revising previous Oscar ceremonies.
An insider shared with The Sun details about the shake-up: "ITV are going big on the Oscars again this year and getting The Chase crew involved."
They disclosed specifics about the contestants, who will bear the names of Oscar nominees such as Demi Moore, Karla Sofia Gascon, Timothee Chalamet, and Adrien Brody, adding: "They'll be up against Shaun Wallace, aka The Dark Destroyer, who has been brushing up on his Oscars knowledge," reports Bristol Live.
In addition to the show's format changes, there's also buzz surrounding host Bradley Walsh's future endeavours, which have been drawing considerable interest lately.
Bradley, aged 64, has been a part of the ITV programme since its inception and has even had a hand in naming several of the Chasers on the quiz show.
The television veteran announced plans to host a brand new show, Bradley Walsh: Egypt's Cosmic Code. This will present the host in an entirely new light as he embarks on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to experience the splendour of Ancient Egypt.
In a teaser clip filled with anticipation, the presenter reveals his long-time fascination for Egypt, saying: "I've had a fascination with Egypt and the pyramids for a very, very long time. It's an anomaly, an absolute cornucopia of ideas and fantasies."
Following the announcement of his new TV venture, there were rumours about Bradley's tenure on The Chase potentially drawing to a close. However, he has firmly stated that he has no intentions of leaving.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV1, from 5pm.
