This Morning's Vanessa Feltz supported as she has mammogram live on air

This Morning's Vanessa Feltz has received an outpouring of affectionate support from viewers after undergoing a mammogram live on the show.
In the episode aired on Monday (February 24), presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley informed audiences that Vanessa would be having a mammogram, inviting viewers to join her for the experience.
At 63, the television personality chose to televise her screening to reassure those apprehensive about the procedure that there's nothing to fear.
Just before the segment, Vanessa stood outside the mobile unit, eagerly stating: "I'm getting ready to do my live mammogram. I can't wait to have my mammogram and if you get your invitation to, make sure you go and have your test."
She also conversed with two women whose lives were saved by mammograms that led to early breast cancer diagnoses. While undergoing her own x-ray, Vanessa continued to address the audience, alleviating any worries they might have as the nurse conducted the examination, reports Wales Online.
Viewers quickly took to social media to express their admiration, commending Vanessa for her openness. One fan commented: "Fair play to Vanessa! ! ! Love that woman #ThisMorning."
Another viewer expressed their encouragement: "A big cheer for the great Vanessa Phelps for having a mammogram live on air, brilliant. She's smiling but it's a brave thing to do live #ThisMorning." A third commended: "This is not a joking matter. Good on Vanessa for doing this live."
Another was astounded, commenting: "I can't believe people are horrified at the sight of a MAMMOGRAM on telly man, never seen a nip before?"
Meanwhile, another added: "Jokes aside, fair play to Vanessa for doing this, it's a little uncomfortable (literally for a few seconds) but not painful, and can save your life! #ThisMorning."
Vanessa has been actively promoting cancer awareness, prompting others to be vigilant for signs of the disease after disclosing her mother's cancer struggle in 2023.
The television host lost her mother at the age of 57 in 1995 due to a severe strain of endometrial cancer and revealed that the illness was unfortunately diagnosed too late by medical professionals.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITVX
