This Morning viewers brand Ben and Cat 'out of touch' as they share luxury holiday plans

Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard faced a bit of a viewer uproar just moments into their return on This Morning.

The pair had been away from the ITV favourite talk show, taking a break to spend half term with their families. They made their comeback on Monday (February 24) morning, eager to share their extravagant half-term activities.

Kicking off the show, they immediately delved into their opulent ski trips. Ben greeted viewers with: "Welcome back," as Cat responded: "It feels lovely to be back."

Ben then inquired: "Did you have a lovely week?" Cat discussed her holiday, saying: "Yes I did a bit of skiing. We went skiing and I took the boys for the very first time."

They played a video of her sons skiing as she added: "This is what they managed to do. They actually managed to do that in the end, in matching coats so I could spot them on the slopes. They managed to do it without falling over."

Ben also shared his vacation experience, commenting: "I loved seeing your footage because I just want to give you a little insight into what your future is going to look like with your two because with my two we went skiing.."

As they watched footage of Ben's children skiing, he continued: "That's my two there. If anyone has been anywhere near Austria, the MooserWirt is a well known place and I was trying to keep up with my two so it's lovely watching you two. My two ski now, this is me trying to keep up with them, and I was doing everything to get as close to them as I can."

Cat cheekily quipped: "Someone was rushing to get down for some milk tray. Desperate for some chocolate."

Ben couldn't help but chuckle as he said: "It was lovely to just get out there for a few days in the mountains and it was nice to be warm. Annie was there but she's not really into skilling the way me and the boys are but we had a really good time."

However, not everyone tuned in from home was thrilled to hear about the presenters' recent getaway adventures, with several branding the stars '"out of touch", reports Wales Online.

Disgruntled, one viewer blasted on X, previously known as Twitter : "Ben and Cat rubbing their luxurious holidays in the faces of the viewership who are generally over worked, underpaid, over taxed and unlikely to take such fabulous holidays! #ThisMorning."

Another lamented: "@thismorning for god sake! People living in poverty and these two over-privileged morons banging on about skiing holidays! Just keep it professional @benshephard @catdeeley #thismorning."

Yet another chimed in: "Ben and Cat are so out of touch," while an additional comment read: "#thismorning Do we really care what you presenters did last week. Just boastful."

Despite the criticism, some fans were delighted to welcome the pair back, with a supportive viewer tweeting: "Great to see Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley back from their holiday #ThisMorning."
