Archeologists using radar technology have sent shockwaves through the historical community after unearthing potential evidence of Noah's ark in Turkey. Revealing findings from their ground-penetrating radar (GPR) data, the team has stumbled upon what appears to be a "chemical imprint", along with vestiges of timber and subterranean structures that hint at "the shape of a hall".

The Bible tells us the events that unfolded over 4,300 years ago, where it is claimed a colossal vessel harboured mankind and various animal species, shielding them from an apocalyptic deluge. An American investigative unit probing the site at Durupinar Formation, situated in proximity to Mount Ararat, now asserts that their GPR analyses divulge the geometry of angular constructs beneath the mountain's surface.

Utilising this sophisticated radar system, Noah's Ark Scans affiliate Andrew Jones discerned indications of a 13-foot conduit transecting the heart of the formation. Digging further into the GPR readings, claims have surfaced about main and peripheral passageways etched into what could potentially be remnants of the ark, additionally unmasking three stratified layers underground—echoing the scriptural triple-decker design of the legendary ship.

Genesis 6:16 in the Bible provides a prescriptive account: "Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks."

In line with these archaic instructions, researcher Andrew divulged to The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN): "We're not expecting something that's fully preserved. What's left is the chemical imprint, pieces of wood and in the ground, the shape of a hall.", reports the Mirror US.

The Durupınar Formation, just 18 miles south of Mount Ararat - Turkey's highest peak, has been shrouded in mystery for 100 years. It was only after heavy rains and earthquakes in May 1948 that the formation was revealed, having been discovered by a Kurdish shepherd.

Scripture claims Noah's Ark came to rest on the "mountains of Ararat" after a devastating 150-day deluge eradicated all life not aboard the vessel. The formation lies close to a mountain whose summit strikingly mirrors the ark's reported shape and size.

The Bible specifies the ark's dimensions as "300 cubits long, 50 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high" - translating to roughly 515 feet in length, 86 feet in breadth, and 52 feet in height. The notion that the ark resides on Mount Ararat has sparked fervent discussion for ages.

While certain academics write off the formation as a mere geological feature, some believe it signifies something more profound. The team at Noah's Ark Scans is among the believers.

In an exclusive chat with CBN News, Andrew Jones disclosed new insights from the scans his group of independent experts have been performing at the Durupınar site. Their findings include angular structures buried up to 20 feet deep, potentially indicating compartments beneath what could be a deck-like structure.

In Genesis 6:14, the Bible describes Noah's Ark: "Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. " Andrew said: "This is not what you'd expect to see if the site were simply a solid block of rock or the result of random mudflow debris.

"But it is exactly what you'd expect to find if this were a man-made boat, consistent with the biblical specifications of Noah's Ark."

The team has also conducted soil testing, uncovering what Andrew described as "some interesting things."

He said: "We noticed that the grass growing within the boat-shaped formation is a different colour compared to the area just outside it," suggesting this could indicate a man-made origin rather than a natural one. William Crabtree, another member of Noah's Ark Scans, noted that a tunnel appears to run from the tip of the formation toward the middle, and it is large enough to walk through.

He also discussed their soil analysis, noting that organic matter was found to be twice as high inside the formation compared to the surrounding soil. "The potassium levels inside are also about 40 percent higher," William said.

He explained: "If you know soil science-as I'm a soil scientist-you'll understand that potassium levels, organic matter, and pH can all be influenced by decaying organic material. If this was a wooden boat and the wood had rotted over time, we would expect to see elevated levels of potassium, changes in pH, and higher organic content-and that's exactly what we're finding."

The team led by Andrew are set to expand their soil sample collection, which already numbers 22, as well as conduct core drilling surveys and more ground-penetrating radar scans at the intriguing site.

"We want to compare what's inside the formation to what's outside," he revealed, expressing his ambition to conclusively determine if the find is indeed man-made.
