According to AI, the answer is an overweight man wearing a football shirt.

Instagram account @reimagineuk asked AI to create videos of the most stereotypical men around the world - with hilarious results.

While the British man looks casual in his football shirt, men from other countries are depicted with fancier outfits.

The stereotypical man from Portugal sports a white shirt and a waistcoat, while the man from Nigeria can be seen wearing a bright orange suit.

Meanwhile, the stereotypical man from the USA sports a huge beard, a cowboy hat, and is carrying an enormous burger in his hands.

The video has garnered huge interest on Instagram, with dozens of viewers flocking to the comments.

'I'm moving to Portugal,' one user joked, while another added: 'Funnily enough I was just looking at flights to Italy.'

According to the bot, the stereotypical British man is an overweight bloke who looks to be in his mid-30s.

The AI appears to have been inspired by Portuguese footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, with its depicition of the stereotypical man from Portugal.

Again, in his mid-30s, this handsome man has tanned skin, dark hair and a neat beard, and is wearing black trousers, a white shirt, and a patterned waistcoat.

'Portugal is just Ronaldo,' one user said, while another enamoured fan joked: 'In Portugal the clothes are off.'

If you thought the Portuguese man's waistcoat was jazzy, just wait until you see the Nigerian man's outfit.

The AI shows this man wearing an orange and blue patterned three-piece suit, alongside sunglass, a bedazzled necklace and earrings, a watch on each wrist, and what appear to be women's ballet shoes.

Viewers seemed to be impressed, with one writing: 'France is so accurate.'

The Japanese man is depicted wearing a shirt, trousers, and tie, and appears to be standing outside a convenience store.

Holding what looks to be a Coke can, he smiles towards the camera.
