Galaxy Watch update

Galaxy Watch update (Image: SAMSUNG)

If you have a Galaxy Watch strapped to your wrist, it might suddenly look a little less modern next month. It appears the Korean technology giant is about to unleash some all-new wearables with some reports suggesting a grand unveiling will take in early July. Samsung is currently staying tight-lipped about any new devices and there's no official word on when its next global Unpacked event will take place.

Although the Korean company is yet to announced anything, a new image - that has just leaked online - may give a massive hint about what's to come and it looks pretty exciting.

The CAD render, which was posted on social media via ONLEAKS, appears to show the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 Classic.

If correct, it seems this device will feature a more industrial design that clearly takes some design hints from the more premium Galaxy Watch Ultra - it even has flashes of orange around the case, which has been an exclusive feature of the Ultra.

A rotating bezel may also be included and could help users browse through menus without touching the screen.

The model on show in the image also features a dark titanium finish and round screen which looks very smart.

Of course, all leaks should always be taken with a pinch of salt, but it's not rare for Samsung to refresh its gadgets in the summer, with previous launches taking place around this time of year.

Along with new wearables being unveiled it's almost certain that Samsung will also reboot its popular line-up of Flip and Fold devices.

The upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 will almost certainly get improved designs that are thinner and lighter, better cameras, plus the latest Galaxy AI upgrades.

It's also likely that they will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which is the same chip currently found in the Galaxy S25.

Hopefully, the firm will announce some more official details in the coming weeks - watch this space.
