AFL Star Reveals Kerry Player Currently Considering A Move Down Under

The path from the GAA to the AFL is well-trodden one, with an increasing number of young players making the trip Down Under in recent years.
The Australian organisation certainly does their due diligence when it comes to scouting potential recruits from this part of the world. They have consistently poached some of the most talented emerging young players in Gaelic football, as well as some more established inter-county players.
With the success experienced by the likes of Conor McKenna, Zach Tuohy, Conor Nash, Oisin Mullen, and others over the last decade or so, it is easy to see why many young sportspeople see the AFL as such an attractive option.

AFL Star Reveals Kerry Player Currently Considering MoveCallum Brown is another young player that has made his way to Australia in recent times, joining Greater Western Sydney in 2018. Having spent three years in the club's development side, the Derry native has gone on to become an established AFL player since making his first team debut in 2021.
As it turns out, he may be joined by another Irishman at the club in the near future.
Speaking to Australian outlet 7, he revealed that a Kerry native recently visited Greater Western Sydney with a view to joining the club in the near future.

There are a lot of players looking to come out. Recently I've got a few text on Instagram from younger boys wanting to know how I done it, how they can get out as well to make the best of their opportunities and future...
We had one come to the club recently, Aaron.
I won't say too much about him, but he's a Kerry man. Obviously he's got the ability. If he comes out I hope that he makes the best of his opportunity when he does.
I think he is just finishing off school now, but we will see what happens next year.
These comments have already led to speculation as to the identity of the player in question, although that has not been confirmed at this point.
In any case, it seems that Kerry could be about to lose a talented young player to the AFL in the near future.
