Channel Nine star Danika Mason reveals the insane price of a cup of coffee at the NRL's Las Vegas extravaganza

Channel Nine sports presenter Danika Mason has revealed the outrageous price she paid for a cup of coffee while in Las Vegas for the blockbuster start to the NRL season.
Mason, 33, has arrived in Sin City ahead of this weekend's footy extravaganza at Allegiant Stadium where she will be performing her media duties alongside footy greats Johnathan Thurston and Paul Gallen.
One thing she noticed right away is the extraordinary price of a cup of coffee.
Mason posted a photo of her purchase to Instagram, writing: '$11 aud for my morning coffee. Vegas is wild'.
The Aussie isn't the only one complaining about Las Vegas coffee prices, with locals expressing outrage about the issue for several years.
According to reports, the price of the popular beverage skyrocketed in 2021 - and is now around 21 per cent more expensive than it was before the pandemic.
Channel Nine sports presenter Danika Mason was shocked by the price of coffee in Las Vegas
Mason paid $11 AUD for a take away cup - twice what she would pay in an Australian city
The average price of a coffee in major Australian cities is currently around $5.50.
Puzzling price differences are just one of the culture shocks the NRL players will discover in Vegas with the Panthers, Raiders and Warriors all fielding stars aged under 21 who won't be able to go to any nightclubs or drink alcohol in Sin City.
South Sydney legend Sam Burgess, now the coach of Warrington, has received news that he can attend the rugby league gala after being unable to fly due to visa issues.
Burgess journeyed to London in a bid to clear up the issue and finally resolved the problem on Wednesday.
'It's great that he will be here with his team for such an historic game,' Wolves boss Karl Fitzpatrick told Wide World of Sports.
Meanwhile, ARLC chairman Peter V'landys has called the Raiders' scuffle 'disappointing' - but believes the issue is 'minor'.
Second-rowers Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies came to blows after a hotel mix-up left one of them without a room on their first night.
It's understood an inflatable baseball bat were involved in the scuffle in a hotel elevator and that security guards escorted them from the hotel, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Mason is gearing up to present all the action from Allegiant Stadium this weekend
'It's very disappointing, but to be fair it's a minor scuffle, silly antics,' V'landys said on Fox Sports News.
'They shouldn't have done it, it's not good for rugby league. They're professionals, they know they did the wrong thing.
'We move forward now and if that's the biggest thing that happens to us in Vegas, I will be happy.'
