Cole Palmer tipped to make sensational Liverpool transfer - 'Watch this space'

Dwight Yorke doesn't think Cole Palmer will demand to quit Chelsea if they fail to make the top-four - but he CAN see the England star ending up at Liverpool.
Palmer, 22, has established himself as one of the Premier League's top young players since joining the Blues from Manchester City last summer, recording more goal contributions (33) than any other top-flight star during the 2023-24 campaign.
Unfortunately for Palmer and Chelsea, things have been harder this season. Enzo Maresca's side are currently in a battle to qualify for next year's Champions League with Palmer in the midst of a seven-match goal drought.
Some have speculated that the attacking midfielder could quit Stamford Bridge if they don't make the top-four. Yorke doesn't see that happening, although he does think Palmer could be lured to Anfield to replace Mohamed Salah if he leaves the Reds.
When Yorke was questioned over Palmer potentially quitting Chelsea, he told CasinoBeats: "He doesn’t strike me as that kind individual. I don’t think he would demand to leave Chelsea if he’s playing a season out of the Champions League.
"He’s still very young, and he’s gone there and turned his career around and became the top man there. Why would you walk away from being in a club and being the top man at the same time?
"Where is he going to go and become a top player and the top man? Liverpool? Maybe Man United, he said he’s a Man United fan, but he won’t go there because he’s a City man. Outside of that is Arsenal, he won’t go there because Bukayo Saka is there.
"Liverpool might be an option if Mo Salah were to leave, so that might be something that they might look to do. So, watch this space with that if Mo Salah leaves."
Salah's future at Anfield remains uncertain, even though he continues to enjoy one of the most productive campaigns in his career. He's recorded more than 50 goal contributions in all competitions and is very much Liverpool's main man.
Yorke went on to argue that Palmer enjoys a similar status at Chelsea. And that could play a part in convincing him to stay put rather than moving to Merseyside in the future.
The former Manchester United striker continued: "There’s no reason why it would not happen if Mo Salah is to leave. Otherwise, why would he want to leave Chelsea?
"He’s the top man at the club. He plays week in, week out. Yes, the Champions League is important. If we keep missing out on Champions League, only then does it become a problem for Cole Palmer. Next year, if Chelsea come back, work hard, and make sure they can qualify for the Champions League and compete for the Premier League, then everything is happy for Palmer.
"I genuinely believe that the only club that could tempt him would be Liverpool, and even then, they would have to let Salah go first."
