Conor Benn shows true colours with jibe about Chris Eubank Jr's dad

Conor Benn took a dig at rival Chris Eubank Jr's relationship with his dad as the pair faced off ahead of their grudge super-fight
The blockbuster showdown between the two is scheduled to take place on April 26 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. With just over two months to go until they trade leather, things got a little heated as both men went face-to-face for the first time since confirmation of the middleweight dust-up.
Eubank Jr no longer has his famous father in his corner and Benn said: "Chris can say what he wants, the bottom line ism his dad don't even like him," he said. "You couldn't pay the man enough to be in his corner. That's an accomplishment Chris, even your own dad don't like you. I'm excited to get in the ring and end this man's career. I can't take him seriously, every time he has stepped up he's failed. Yes, he has faced better opposition, but this is the end for him."
Eubank didn't address the jibe, but said: "The bad guy is back again. He still never cheats, still never lies, still never cuts any corners, yet he's still the bad guy. The unique and peculiar situation we find ourselves in is that for the first time in boxing history, for a mega-fight, there are two bad guys. I've been booed in every British fight I've had since 2014, thats 11 years of being the bad guy. I'm a veteran at this stage."
Benn was recently cleared to reapply for his British Boxing Board of Control licence after a National Anti-Doping Panel judged that UK Anti-Doping must lift his temporary suspension as they were not "comfortably satisfied" a doping offence had been committed. The 28-year-old was under investigation after two adverse analytical findings in VADA tests for the prohibited substance clomiphene, a fertility drug which has performance-enhancing benefits.
His second test was revealed just days before he was scheduled to go head-to-head with Eubank Jr in October 2022. However, the pair will finally get the chance to settle the score after many years in the making. The two have been embroiled in a brutal war of words both face-to-face and on social media over the last few years, but the family feud dates over two decades ago when their fathers fought twice in 1990 and 1993.
In a recent post uploaded to X - formerly known as Twitter - Eubank Jr took a swipe at Benn's history, posting: "I’ve been tested twice in one week by @Vada_Testing just in case you guys got confused it’s @ConorNigel that’s the drug cheat… not me. Leave me in peace #CleanAthlete." The post was accompanied with two pictures of him being tested. Replying to the verbal assault, Benn wrote: "I’ve been tested twice this week too you p****. In case you forgot I was completely cleared by both the WBC and the NADP - shame no one will ever be able to clear you of being a w*****. Three rounds you are finished."
Before both men signed the official fight contracts, Eubank Sr told The Sun that he believed the fight would never take place and was quick to reference their 2022 planned clash, saying: “My son, if he had taken that fight where they tried to boil him down to 157, would have lost his life.” He added: “I lost Sebastian," he continued. “What do I say about losing another one? Nothing, I just pray.”
