England Lionesses vs Spain Euro 2025 final LIVE: Team news, Lauren James injury, TV details

For the England Lionesses, Sunday July 27 is another date with destiny.
It is almost three years to the day since Sarina Wiegman's team changed the face of women's football in England with their victory over Germany in the Euro 2022 final at Wembley, where Chloe Kelly's extra-time winner would pass into English football folklore.
Just over a year later though there was heartbreak, as Spain beat the Lionesses 1-0 in the World Cup final in Sydney despite the heroics of legendary goalkeeper Mary Earps.
All of which brings us to Basel, another Euros final and another showdown with Spain, as Wiegman's side bid to become back-to-back European champions after an at times chaotic run to the showpiece event.
After losing their opening group game to France, England breezed past the Netherlands and Wales - scoring 10 goals in the process and conceding just one - to advance to the knockout stages. Once there they somehow overcame Sweden in a dramatic penalty shootout and then beat Italy in the closing moments of extra-time.
World champions Spain are seen as favourites on Sunday, but after building up a resilience and belief during that run to the final, England will think that anything is possible.
Stay with us for all the best build-up to the final, the latest injury news, expert analysis and fans' preparations for what promises to be a thrilling contest.
