Former Ohio State football player dies at 30 after retiring due to blood clot issue

Former Ohio State football star Donovan Munger passed away earlier this week at the age of 30.
Munger was best known for his three seasons as a Buckeye, starting as a four-star defensive-line recruit from the Cleveland area.
No cause of death was announced for Munger, with his mother, Deidra Sanders, posting to social media about his passing.
'My heart will never beat the same. It is with my deepest sadness that I formally announce to the world the passing of my eldest child Donovan Munger. Pray for my family,' Sanders said on Instagram.
Munger was diagnosed with a blood clot before his freshman year in 2015 and caused him to sit out all of that season.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Munger made his collegiate debut in 2014 with five tackles and one tackle for loss during Ohio State's national championship season, the first of the College Football Playoff.

Munger appeared in 11 games for the Buckeyes in 2015 with the blood clot forcing him to medically retire from football after that season.
Tributes from Ohio State fans to Munger poured in after his death became public.
'Once a Buckeye, Always a Buckeye. Rest in Peace, Donovan Munger,' one Ohio State fan said.
'Another one man, way too young bro,' another Buckeyes fan stated.
'Wtf…. Wow, that’s beyond sad, hope his family is ok,' a third added.
'Former Ohio State defensive lineman Donovan Munger, who was on the 2014 National Championship team, has passed away at the age of 30. May his memory be a blessing,' a fourth person concluded.
The official social media accounts for Ohio State football have not commented on Munger's passing.
