Inside Wayne Rooney's insane trophy room as son Kai shows off crazy collection at home

Wayne Rooney's trophy room is packed with Premier League title replicas, cup-winning medals and an abundance of England caps.

The 39-year-old former striker will go down in the annals of history as one of the greatest-ever Englishmen to step foot on a football pitch, enjoying an illustrious playing career with the likes of Everton, Manchester United, DC United and Derby County before hanging up his boots in 2021 and stepping into the world of management.

Meanwhile, Rooney shone bright on the international stage for his country, scoring 53 goals in 120 appearances for the Three Lions over the course of 15 years before finally passing the torch on to the next generation.

While he never won a major competition on the world stage with England, Rooney well and truly excelled at club level – lifting five Premier League titles, an FA Cup, three League Cups, four Community Shields and a coveted Champions League trophy with United.

So it comes as no surprise that 'Wazza's' trophy cabinet in his £20million Cheshire mansion is filled to the brim with silverware – as evidenced when his son, Kai, gave football fans a glimpse of it in 2024.

The clip, which has since been reposted on TikTok, shows an octagonal display case showing off a wealth of Rooney's England caps, while a miniature model of Old Trafford sits atop.

The left-hand side of the room has a cabinet which is filled with Player of the Month awards, as well as his Players' Player of the Year trophy from the 2009/10 season. There are also a number of bottles of champagne labelled 'man of the match' lining the top of the cabinet, and a pair of Rooney's famous red and grey Nike Total-90 boots.

The central cabinet, meanwhile, shows off Rooney's 2008 Champions League jersey, and his winner's medal is adorned around the neck of it. There are also various match balls, more man of the match bottles of champagne, and miniature replicas of the trophies he won throughout the course of his career.

Rooney's 100th England cap is stashed on the right-hand side of the room, alongside more champagne, a Match of the Day magazine with the star on the cover, and various other personal honours – including his Matt Busby Player of the Year titles, a large replica of his FIFA Club World Cup trophy from 2008, his 20 Goals in a Year trophies, and Golden Boots.

Down the corridor is also a further tribute to Rooney's international career, with various England shirts, boots and balls on display. Fans took to the comments to share their adoration for Rooney's career, with one writing: "Isn’t it mad how ppl can only throw 2 names at Rooney to be better [Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi]. Just shows how good this lad was," while another added: "Imagine growing up surrounded by those trophies! Legendary collection!"

Rooney kicked off his professional footballing career with Everton back in 2002, assisting in a 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on his professional debut at the age of just 16. After impressing with the Toffees over the course of two years, he was brought to Old Trafford by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2004 and remained there for the bulk of his career.

Rooney scored 253 goals and made 138 assist in 559 games for the club, before returning to Everton for one last dance in 2017. He then played for DC United and Derby County before hanging up his playing boots in 2021.

He side-stepped into the world of management, having took the reins at Derby County in the Championship, DC United in the MLS, and then both Birmingham City and Plymouth Argyle back in the Championship over the past five years.

He is currently out of work after losing his job earlier this year at Plymouth, but Rooney has been keeping busy with punditry work, having appeared at the Etihad for Amazon Prime's Champions League coverage of Manchester City vs Real Madrid a fortnight ago.

Son Kai, meanwhile, is part of United's academy, with the 15-year-old looking to forge a career in football of his own. During his first full season there with the Under-12s, he scored a whopping 56 goals.
