John Mullane Could Hardly Contain Himself During Late Tipperary-Kilkenny Drama

With the controversy surrounding the scoreboard error in the final minutes of the All-Ireland semi-final between Tipperary and Kilkenny, it is perhaps easy to overlook just how exciting the end to that game was.
The two sides produced some wonderful hurling in Croke Park, with the contest coming right down to the wire.
Oisín O'Donoghue's winning goal was the highlight of the game, with the Tipp man pulling out one of the best strikes in recent memory to give his side the lead late on.
Of course, that was not the end of the drama. Kilkenny would push for a goal of their own in the closing moments, leading to a tense few minutes in the ground.

The players on the pitch remained as cool as ever during injury time, but the drama was almost too much to bear for some in the stands at Croke Park.
That included John Mullane, who was on duty for RTÉ Radio for this game.
Appearing in the booth alongside Marty Morrissey, the Waterford legend produced some memorable commentary during the closing stages of the All-Ireland semi-final.
His reaction was captured by the RTÉ cameras, who uploaded the last few minutes of the match to their Tik Tok account, starting with O'Donohue's late goal for Tipperary. Sit back and enjoy this one.

Unreal stuff. His reaction to O'Donoghue's wonder goal was a particular highlight.
As a man who is massively passionate about the sport of hurling, it was no surprise to see Mullane take such joy out of the clash between Tipperary and Kilkenny.
