Kilkenny v Limerick postponed after UPMC Nowlan Park deemed unplayable

This afternoon’s crunch Allianz Hurling League Division 1A clash between Kilkenny and Limerick has been postponed due to an unplayable pitch at UPMC Nowlan Park.
The game had been scheduled for 1.45pm but, after a pitch inspection at the Kilkenny ground this morning, the decision was taken to call it off.
It marks the third Allianz League clash to be postponed this weekend, with Markievicz Park also deemed unplayable due to heavy rain for Sligo football meeting with Clare today, while it’s understood that the Division 4 meeting between Wexford and Wicklow this afternoon was postponed yesterday because of a bereavement.
Today’s other meeting in Division 1A is set to see All-Ireland champions Clare hosting Wexford in Ennis at 1.45pm.
