Man City given nightmare new 130 charges verdict and told 'most likely outcome'

Manchester City are staring relegation in the face if found guilty of their alleged financial rule breaches.
The Premier League champions are facing D-Day, which continues to inch closer for the club in their long battle with the Premier League, as Pep Guardiola acknowledged earlier this month. Speaking on February 7, he declared: "In one month, I think there will be a verdict and the sentence."
It's been claimed that City will be made an example of, if they're found guilty, to act as a deterrent for the rest of the football fraternity. But that won't extend to them being refused entry into the EFL - whether in the Championship, League One or League Two - as per the league's rulebook.
According to football finance expert Kieran Maguire - speaking on the Football on Trial: The Manchester City Charges podcast on BBC Radio 5 Live - the most probable scenario is a points deduction, with City potentially facing a punishment six times more severe than those Everton were hit with for breaking PSR rules.
"A points deduction would be the most likely outcome should the club be found guilty," he explained.
"As for the quantum of points deduction, if Everton were initially given a 10 points deduction for going around about £10/12 million over the limits in one particular season, I think, in order to set an example to the rest of football, it's got to act as a deterrent."
Maguire also weighed in on the potential magnitude of any points deduction, stating: "We'll probably be looking at somewhere in the region of 60 to 100 point, which would effectively guarantee relegation out of the Premier League and into the lower tiers of football in the EFL."
It is something which he has said before, previously declaring on the Tear Us Apart podcast: "It has to be a points deduction – if found guilty. We are looking at a points deduction somewhere in the region of 60 to 100 points."
"The other thing that would happen is that the board of directors at Manchester City effectively would be proven to be liars and misrepresenting the state of the football club to the authorities; I don't see how they can keep their jobs
This time, Maguire also acknowledged City would have to be accepted by the EFL.
He said: "There has been a suggestion that the EFL might refuse to accept Manchester City in terms of its competition, but looking at their rulebook, I don't think that is feasible."
