San Francisco Giants star Logan Webb's postgame interview was interrupted in disgusting fashion on Friday night - with a loud fart stopping the pitcher in his tracks.

Webb was speaking to reporters after the Giants' 2-0 defeat to the Los Angeles Angels when someone suddenly let rip in the locker room.

The 28-year-old, who was clearly amused by the disruption, tried his best to continue but could not contain himself after hearing the unidentified culprit pass wind.

'I’m sorry. I’m sorry, guys,' he said while trying not to laugh. 'Farts are always funny, not going to lie.'

And just like the baseball player, fans certainly saw the funny side on social media.

One user commented: 'I honestly can’t stop laughing. Forever love Webby and his soul'.

Webb punched out 12 and didn’t walk a single batter in the game against Los Angeles Angels

'Men........all little boys at heart. That's why we love them,' said another.

A third simply put: 'He’s all of us'.

While another posted: 'Best thing you’ll see (and hear) all day'.

The hilarious moment came on an otherwise miserable evening for the Giants as they slumped to defeat against the Angels.

Webb punched out 12 and didn’t walk a single batter in the game in Los Angeles, which was the fourth time he’s achieved that unwanted feat in his career.

The Rocklin, California man is in his seventh season with San Francisco after being selected by the team in the fourth round of the 2014 MLB Draft and making his pro debut five years later.
