The Pittsburgh Steelers became the first team to win a regular-season NFL game at Croke Park as they held off a fourth quarter rally to defeat the Minnesota Vikings.

A crowd of 74,512 gathered at GAA headquarters to watch the event that saw the Steelers improve their season record to 3-1 with a 24-21 victory.

Running back Kenneth Gainwell starred for the victors as he rushed for 99 yards and scored two touchdowns, with four-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers throwing for 200 yards along with a touchdown while wide receiver DK Metcalf caught five passes for 126 yards and a touchdown (watch above).

The Steelers held a 24-6 lead in the fourth quarter before the Vikings summoned a rally with eight minutes left on the clock, scoring a touchdown through Zavier Scott and then completing a two-point attempt afterwards to make it 24-14.

Jalen Nailor’s touchdown left just a field goal between the teams with 2:08 remaining but Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz couldn’t get his team within range and the Steelers held on to become the first franchise to win a NFL regular-season fixture on Irish soil.
