The Radio Kerry Commentary Produced Some Incredible Lines During All-Ireland Final

While the people of Kerry are no strangers to All-Ireland success, it seems as though the supporters down in The Kingdom have particularly enjoyed this latest Sam Maguire run.

Jack O'Connor's side were criticised in some quarters earlier in this championship campaign, something that reached its peak in the aftermath of the round robin loss to Meath. David Clifford would ask the fans to back the team after that defeat, something that has paid dividends in recent weeks.

Kerry native would pack out Croke Park for the county's quarter-final and semi-final wins, while Sunday's triumph over Donegal was met with a massive outpouring of emotion.

Radio Kerry Commentary Produced Some Incredible Lines During All-Ireland Final

Radio Kerry have provided us with some very memorable moments down through the years, meaning the commentary duo of Tim Moynihan and Ambrose O'Donovan were always likely to make their mark on this season's All-Ireland final.

That certainly proved to be the case, with the pair coming up with some priceless lines over the course of 70 minutes of action in Croke Park.

Radio Kerry would share footage of some of their best bits, which you can enjoy below.

Here are a selection of some of their standout lines:

  • "We're making basic enough errors, but they're still sticking onto it. They're like a wasp around cow dung." - O'Donovan
  • "Clifford is stretching the legs now, legs of a ballerina. David Clifford, the legs of a ballerina and the body of a warrior!" - Moynihan
  • "I'd say that referee could go to that place across from Tom O'Donnell's, Specsavers or whatever it is." - O'Donovan. "They're not open on Sundays Ambrose." - Moyinhan
  • "There's Joe with those classy boots. If he walked down Rock Street with those, well we would have a good look at him. You would think he was a council worker." - Moynihan

Incredible stuff.

Providing a wonderful service filled with plenty of passion for the people of Kerry, this is what the GAA is all about.
