Africa’s hidden gem with the 'world's best beach' and £1.68 pints

The world is full of hidden gem destinations for travellers across the globe to explore. However, this specific place in Africa has been highlighted by TripAdvisor for having the best beach on the planet. Reunion Island, located in the Indian Ocean, is a small destination that's beaming with beauty. The islands boasts 30 kilometres of both beautiful white and black sandy beaches, including the now famed Plage de L'Hermitage (L'Ermitage).

TripAdvisor said: "Plage de L'Ermitage's warm and calm waters means there's no better place for snorkelling. The beach is spacious and quiet, plus there's lots of parking nearby. To top it off, travellers have reaved about the sunset here."

As well as watersports, the seven-kilometre stretch is a perfect spot for picnics, and if you don't want to bring your own food, well there are plenty of place to get food as well as smaller spots where buy snacks, crepes, or ice cream.

For many UK holidaymakers, getting their hands on a decent priced drink while soaking up the sun is an important factor, and for those who like the sound of this small paradise, things might just get better. Visitors can find a pint of beer for as little as £1.68 and a bottle of wine for £5.60.
