Airbnb’s New Strategy: ‘Aggressively’ Add Hotels, Steal Their Guests

Airbnb says it is getting more aggressive in a new strategy to add hotels in markets where most of the short-term rentals are already booked, and to convince more hotel guests to stay in Airbnbs.
CEO Brian Chesky told financial analysts last week that Airbnb is "going significantly more aggressively into hotels. We've spent a lot of time looking at hotels as a business. We think it's really compelling."
