Tripadvisor and Viator to Merge Operations, Layoffs Imminent: Scoop

Tripadvisor plans to merge the operations of its core brand and its Viator experiences business, and the company is also set to announce layoffs Wednesday, according to a source familiar with the matter.

A substantial portion of the Tripadvisor engineering team are expected to be let go, along with reductions on other teams, from product to marketing.

Major cuts are not expected at Viator or TheFork, Tripadvis
