Bananas are rich in nutrients and aid digestion, making them a great dessert. Here are three delicious recipes!
Due to their high carbohydrate content, the yellow fruits are both a pick-me-up and an energy booster. They taste very good and have their own sweetness. Use these properties for a tasty dessert with bananas.
This delicious recipe doesn't require many ingredients: bananas, honey, cinnamon. And this is how the dessert is prepared:
- Halve the bananas lengthwise.
- Place the fruit on the preheated grill.
- After a few minutes, turn them over and add some honey.
- Sprinkle the bananas with some cinnamon.
The honey caramelizes the bananas slightly and sweetens the taste. This recipe is very simple. To enhance it, add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and roasted nuts or seeds. Make these yourself by roasting them in a pan without adding any fat.
Ready-made puff pastry from the freezer shelf is easy to use. With just a few ingredients, you can create a delicious dessert. You need:
- 2 bananas
- 1 roll of frozen puff pastry
- 1 bar of dark chocolate
- some mint leaves
- some water for sprinkling
- Cut the puff pastry into square pieces.
- Place a few slices of banana, a finely chopped mint leaf and chocolate chips on top.
- Place another piece of puff pastry on top.
- Press the ends together so that the chocolate cannot leak out of the dough.
- Sprinkle the puff pastry with lukewarm water and bake the pastry in the oven at 180° Celsius for a few minutes.
If you don't like mint, replace it with crumbled spiced biscuits or gingerbread. A scoop of ice cream also goes well with this as an extra highlight.
Desserts in a glass look very beautiful and are therefore also suitable for special occasions. You can be flexible with the ingredients and let your creativity run wild. For our recipe you need the following ingredients (for four people):
- 2 ripe bananas
- 250 g Greek yogurt (10% fat)
- 150 ml whipped cream
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 6 ladyfingers
- Mix the yoghurt with honey.
- Peel the bananas and cut them into slices.
- Whip the cream until stiff and fold it into the yoghurt cream.
- Crumble the biscuits and start layering them in the glass.
Instead of ladyfingers, you can also use gingerbread, butter biscuits or speculaas. Coconut flakes and chocolate sprinkles are suitable as a sweet topping. Alternatively, cover the filled glasses with a layer of caramel or chocolate sauce.
Use the sweetness of bananas for low-calorie desserts. Chop them up with apples, grapes and other fruits and you can make a fruit salad in no time.
