Start of the gardening year: Prune hedges now, but expect cold weather in March

Spring seemed to break out at the weekend. But be careful: There may still be cold snaps in March. Garden lovers should therefore leave frost-sensitive plants in the hardware store for the time being.

These days, a "ahh" echoes through the country. After several weeks of darkness, fog and clammy cold, early spring has arrived. A new season has arrived practically overnight, the air is no longer heavy and stuffy, but fresh and fluffy. In a short time, the temperature has changed sign: minus 15 has become plus 15. And in the northern areas of the low mountain ranges, with the foehn wind, even 20 is not far off. Is that the end of winter?
