The end of the Tupperware party: What lasts a lifetime?

"Pffffffffffft," sighs from under the lid of the bright yellow plastic bowl. Christina Golyssa - or Tuppertina, as she calls herself - is standing in her kitchen in Eggersdorf, Brandenburg, and is doing it one last time: the Tupperware sigh. Tupperware, the American storage container manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy last year and will cease sales in Europe in January 2025. The legendary Tupperware party is now history. Only Tina Golyssa does not want to leave without saying goodbye. She is throwing what is probably the last Tupperware party in Germany. Privately, of course, because the company has officially banned sales parties.
