The Greens | Without confidence: Robert Habeck
Robert Habeck's problem could be read on his posters at the beginning of the year. "My resolution for 2025: Become Chancellor, remain human" was written on it, and then the Greens only got 11.6 percent. Showing off with a human touch. Even if it is their second-best election result ever, for Habeck it is not enough. You always notice that he "remains human" when the professional politician is stuck. No one can talk about political problems as beautifully, usually a little hoarse and touchy, as if they were his own personal ones. In his media appearances he is not as uptight and obsessed with control as his competitors, who often seem like puppets. He often even gives the impression of being fair and capable of dialogue.
And so he sat in the "Berliner Runde" on election night, unfeignedly frustrated, looking even more piqued than on his interesting, almost ironic, but only almost ironic "confidence" election posters, and seemed very honest. But he was really honest the following day, when it became clear that the CDU and SPD did not need the Greens to form a government: Habeck announced that he no longer wanted to have "a leading role" in the Greens. He won't do it without the prospect of a state office, not a particularly successful writer and at the same time the best political salesman the Greens have ever had.
Because politics is more important than personality. Habeck's stands for more military and deportations. Despite the traffic light coalition, he was in favor of "black-green." If the Russians stop supplying energy, then the Saudis and Qataris will. He warned against the "moral finger-pointing" back in 2013. He always stood to the right of Annalena Baerbock, but was much less agitated.
