If there's someone up there directing, then he was particularly kind to us just before the beginning of summer 1942. On June 18, he sent little Paul McCartney into the earthly race in Liverpool. Two days later, he gave the Wilson family in Inglewood, California, the first of three sons, whom they named Brian. Carl and Dennis would follow.
