After 18 years: Head of Wealth Management leaves Berenberg

Berenberg is losing one of its prominent wealth managers. According to reports from "Finanz-Szene," Oliver Meinschien, who most recently served as team leader in Hamburg and branch manager in Berlin, is leaving the private bank. A Berenberg spokeswoman confirmed this to the newsletter service.
Meinschien had been working for Berenberg since 2006. In addition to his management roles, he was responsible for an initiative to attract younger entrepreneur clients. Under his leadership, Berenberg formed the "Entrepreneurs & Young Entrepreneurs" team, with which the bank aimed to position its wealth management and corporate banking businesses in the Berlin startup scene.
Succession and other personnel mattersCarolin Lukas will head the Berlin office. She joined Berenberg two years ago as a Relationship Manager from the investment manager Dr. Peters Group .
In Hamburg, the bank recently appointed André Nogat as branch manager . The former Commerzbank employee is taking on a newly created position in Wealth Management, which partially encompasses Meinschien's former responsibilities. In his new role, Nogat will lead a team of approximately 20 employees and report to Dennis Hummelmeier, Head of Wealth Management Germany at Berenberg.
The private bank also recently expanded its wealth management team at its Frankfurt am Main location. Sven Friske heads the wealth management division in the financial metropolis .
