Bank-independent pioneers: These are Germany's oldest asset managers

It's true: Germany's first bank-independent asset managers have been on the market for over half a century. This is shown by an analysis by private banking magazine. We present you the 20 oldest independent asset managers in Germany.
Year of foundation: 1986
Headquarters: Stuttgart
Methodology: The editorial team evaluated the list of securities institutions currently licensed to manage financial portfolios. The editorial team researched the founding years of these companies using company information, commercial register extracts, and other information sources.
If the founding year could not be verified, the companies were removed from the list. The editorial team also excluded companies that were not considered bank-independent asset managers in the traditional sense, such as DWS, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, Union Investment, an asset manager for cooperative banks, or asset managers of insurance companies.
