Houses and apartments: Real estate prices are rising sharply – for now

What pleases one person hurts another, as is usually the case. Owning your own apartment makes no difference: While tenants and prospective buyers groan when prices rise again, bankers are talking about a positive development. But at least the facts are clear – and currently paint a fairly clear picture of the real estate market. Prices are rising sharply; at the beginning of the year, they were significantly higher than a year ago, as the latest analysis by the Association of Pfandbrief Banks (VDP) shows. This applies across all categories.
