It's definitely debatable whether paparazzi photos from sets spoil the anticipation of new series and films or not – but they certainly provide some styling inspiration. The streets of New York City, in particular, seem to offer new material around every corner – be it the filming of the long-awaited sequel to "The Devil Wears Prada," the series "American Love Story," which depicts the relationship between John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, or the Netflix comedy "Good Sex" with Natalie Portman .

For the film, the actress and the costume designers chose a playful minidress with a small floral pattern, paired with a classic denim jacket in a mid-blue wash. Natalie Portman complemented it with black sandals with bow details and ankle straps, featuring a high wooden platform as a visual highlight. The actress also carried a black handbag with pearl details, continuing the mix of leather and natural materials.

The boho shoe trend's spectacular return to fashion was already announced at Chemena Kamali 's Chloé show in spring 2024. Back then, the assembled front row (including Sienna Miller) wore platform sandals with wide leather straps and a high wooden platform . "With their elegant yet edgy look, they will be the new object of desire in the coming months," VOGUE noted in reference to the shoe trend.

The platform model is the perfect complement to the playful floral dress and casual denim jacket, but with a closed toe, it can also be worn wonderfully with long jeans and a chunky knit sweater in cooler temperatures.
