Digital Minister Karsten Wildberger (CDU) has warned against the use of artificial intelligence for fear of job losses.

Digital Minister advocates bold use of AI
"One thing is certain: If we do not use AI widely, we risk more jobs than if we use it courageously and responsibly," Wildberger told the newspapers of the Funke Media Group (Sunday editions).
"In international competition, only the most efficient economies will grow and secure their prosperity. I will do everything I can to ensure that Germany is one of them."
At the same time, the CDU politician acknowledged that AI will change the labor market "fundamentally and permanently." AI must be further developed and mastered with confidence. "AI can counteract the shortage of skilled workers in many areas by applying it where skills are currently lacking. At the same time, AI will create new fields of business and activity that we can barely imagine today," Wildberger said. Lifelong learning is becoming more important than ever, and we must actively support this change.
