Graffiti on trains: Four colors and no hallelujah

The corona wave was followed by a flood of graffiti on gravel and rails. The Federal Police 's initial statistics recorded four times as many cases of graffiti-covered trains last year as in 2022. Three thousand suspects sprayed wagons and locomotives in Germany, especially in metropolitan regions. The police were able to arrest fewer than four percent. The sprayer's favorite hobby is driving the railway companies crazy and at the same time making them despair. Because the involuntarily colorful trains cannot run while they are being cleaned. As soon as one is clean and sparkling again, the next one rolls in. The sprayers usually win the cat-and-mouse game with the police and security personnel, as long as the respective trains and wagons can be monitored at all. The result is a seemingly endless cycle of spray paint.
