Violent children: 11-year-old allegedly injured 13-year-old with a knife

An 11-year-old boy allegedly seriously injured a 13-year-old with a knife during an altercation in Remscheid . The dpa learned this from police sources. The 13-year-old suffered stab wounds to his leg on Thursday that were not life-threatening. The boy was taken to a hospital for further medical treatment, according to the "Bild" newspaper.

The 11-year-old allegedly fled the scene with an uninvolved companion. During the manhunt, the suspect was reportedly found and handed over to the police. The boy was later released into the care of his legal guardians.

On the same day, a 13-year-old boy allegedly attacked a 12-year-old classmate with a stabbing weapon in Berlin-Spandau. The injured student was taken to a hospital for surgery, said police spokesman Martin Halweg. A search is underway for the 13-year-old, who had wandered away from school. The alleged perpetrator and the victim were in the same class.
