After winning the double with FC Basel, Celestini requested the termination of his current contract. He considered his mission at FCB to be over, even though the club would have liked to continue working with him.
Celestini was initially considered a candidate for Getafe, where he once played. However, coach José Bordalás was confirmed in his position. Now he's headed to Russia. CSKA Moscow finished third last season and won the cup.
