NBA superstar Kevin Durant joins Paris St. Germain

Basketball star Kevin Durant will benefit from the success of Champions League winner Paris St. Germain. As the club announced on Friday, the Phoenix Suns power forward has acquired a minority stake in PSG through owner Qatar Sports Investment (QSI) – via his media and investment firm Boardroom.
According to the club, QSI will collaborate with Boardroom "on a range of commercial and content initiatives," including merchandising, media content, US and international strategy, and potential basketball/multisport expansion. QSI CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi said they look forward to "developing ambitious initiatives with Kevin that will drive the continued global growth of Paris St. Germain and QSI."
Durant (36) has won two NBA titles with the Golden State Warriors and is a four-time Olympic champion with the USA. He most recently won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Games in Paris. PSG and Paris are "a club and a city that are very close to my heart. This club has big plans, and I can't wait to be part of the next phase of growth," Durant said.
