San Lázaro concludes extraordinary period

The Chamber of Deputies concluded its extraordinary session, which began on June 23 , amid a rush by legislators to attend the birthday celebrations of Morena member Pedro Haces.
The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Gutiérrez Luna , formally declared the completion of the first extraordinary session of the second recess of the first year of the LXVI Legislature, to which the Permanent Commission called on June 20.

“ Today, July 1, 2025, the Chamber of Deputies of the LXVI Legislature of the Honorable Congress of the Union formally declares the completion of the work corresponding to the first period of extraordinary sessions of the second recess of the first year of office to which it was convened,” he said.
Sergio Gutiérrez Luna thanked everyone, including the deputies and coordinators , as the debate was intense, a time to express the views, ideology, and projects of the parliamentary group. The debate was conducted in a generally organized and constructive manner. "Thank you all."
He reported that the Presidency of the Board of Directors will notify the Federal Executive, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, the Senate, and the Permanent Commission in writing that the Chamber of Deputies has formally declared its corresponding work complete.
Monreal described the extraordinary period as productive and fertile.The president of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo), Ricardo Monreal Ávila, expressed that this has been a productive and fertile period, which has resulted in the creation of new laws and the amendment of more than 20 legal instruments of various kinds. "There were seven sessions, almost 100 hours of work, and more than 500 speakers; today there were only about 90. Therefore, we should be satisfied."

He said that constitutional responsibility had been fulfilled, and therefore expressed his consideration and respect for the members of the Board of Directors and the coordinators of the various political factions that make up the Chamber of Deputies.
